NJHS Cares

North Jr. High School Cares

During the months of February & March NJHS afterschool program will be sponsoring two very special fundraisers for our community.

The first will be for the two Ronald McDonald houses in our area.

Little things can make a big difference. You can help support the Ronald McDonald Houses of Evansville by collecting the little tabs you pull to open soda, soup or other aluminum cans. The funds generated from recycling these aluminum gems help offset the House’s expenses. Collecting pop tabs is a great program that benefits the Ronald McDonald House families

They also have a wish list of needed items you can bring in to NJHS or RJHS donate too.

The second will be for the Vandenburg Humane Society

& It Takes A Village a No Kill shelter

The Vanderburgh Humane Society serves more than 11,000 animals every single year through sheltering, spay/neuter and wellness services, emergency food assistance, and various other programs. Our services & programs benefit animals and their people in any county, not just Vanderburgh County. In fact, in 2019, 31% of the animals we sheltered came from Warrick, Posey, Gibson, and other counties!

It Takes A Village Shelters mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." We are a 501(c)(3) mostly volunteer, no-kill rescue. We have helped over 5600 animals find forever homes since 2010.

Both of these Shelters are wonderful with helping the youth to learn about animal care and training. The shelters also have wish lists for helping them out with Pet supplies, and help in some of the animal areas, in fact our Paws for a Cause club volunteers at VHS once a month.
